Registration for this meeting is open to
all medical school registrars and student records administrators.
This three-day conference will bring together experienced
registrars with those that are new to the field or the medical school
environment, and provide opportunities to network and build strong,
symbiotic professional relationships.
This year we are sharing the conference facility with the admissions
officers, allowing us to minimize costs while optimizing support
of our agenda. Though most of our time will be spent in an exclusive
program intended to meet the needs of both new and experienced registrars,
the two groups will come together for several joint sessions. We
will be presenting important data on key topics, including FERPA,
IPEDS, data sharing, the Registrar's Survey results, AAMC Student
Records System (SRS), AAMC Visiting Student Application Service
(VSAS), electronic data management, and a new campus identification
and enrollment mapping model. We will also have a lunch roundtable
on various student information systems and online vlinical rvaluation
forms used by our colleagues.
We live in a time of great change, and we face both trying challenges
and enormous opportunities in medical school enrollment management.
Working together and collaborating with the staff at the AAMC, we
can continue to move forward.
I welcome you, on behalf of the GSA
Committee on Student Records, to our 2009 Professional Development
Conference.
Karen A. Lewis, M.S.
Chair, GSA Committee on Student Records
