Learn about the benefits of VSAS, how to join as a host school
in 2009 and opportunities to speak with the pilot host schools.
Pilot year launched April 2008!
The Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS) is a brand-new
AAMC application designed to streamline the application process
for senior "away" electives at other U.S. medical schools. This
service requires students to submit just one application for all
schools, effectively reducing paperwork, miscommunication and time
for students and school staff. It was created at the request
of two GSA committees: Committee
on Student Records (COSR) and Committee
on Student Affairs (COSA).
When can I use VSAS?
VSAS opened for school use on April 1, 2008, and
will remain open indefinitely. If you are not the VSAS Primary Contact
at your institution, you may log in to VSAS once the Primary Contact
adds you as a VSAS user.
