Medical School Programs
To improve the quality of medical education, medical schools continually
perform intensive reviews of their educational programs and instructional
methods. This has resulted in an interdisciplinary approach to presenting
individual course content and an increased emphasis on the functional applications
of structure. Innovations include opportunties for independent study and elective
coursework and the establishment of separate learning tracks of varying durations
at individual schools.
The Curriculum
Directory provides a comprehensive description of medical student education
programs at the 130 U.S. and 17 Canadian medical schools. This online resource
enables searches for instructional and curricular innovations, grading intervals,
required courses and clerkships, and combined degree programs.
Use the Curriculum Directory to find
combined degree programs, including:
- BS/MD
- MD/JD
- MD/MBA
- MD/MPH
- MD/PhD
