Making Changes to Your Registration

Registration

We recommend that you register for a "standard" seat (i.e., an appointment without accommodations) as soon as possible to increase your likelihood of receiving your preferred location and date. That way, even if you are not approved for accommodations, you will still have an appointment for the MCAT exam. We advise that you submit your complete request at least 60 days in advance of the regular registration deadline for your desired MCAT exam date. Please submit documentation as far in advance of your desired test date as possible.

  • Please be aware that if you register for the exam and subsequently do not receive approval for your requested accommodations, you may cancel your appointment as long as the regular registration deadline has not passed. You may access the MCAT Scheduling and Registration system to cancel your appointment and receive a refund of 50 percent.

  • If you prefer, you can wait to register until you receive a decision on your accommodations request. On one hand, you won't risk forfeiting half your registration fee, but on the other, you are less likely to get your preferred location and date. The choice is yours.

  • If you are approved for accommodations, you must register for a "standard seat" prior to confirming your accommodations each time you take the MCAT exam.
