Submitting Test Center Concerns
Test Center Concerns Reported by Examinees
If you believe test center conditions interfered with your performance
on the exam, there are a few steps you should take:
-
Report your concerns to the Test Center Administrator, who will file
a Center Problem Report (CPR). The MCAT office will not contact you
based on the CPR alone, but will review the CPR if you should submit
your concern to the MCAT Resource Center. Although the CPR does not
initiate an investigation by the MCAT staff, the lack of a report
hinders our ability to verify your concern.
- If you want a review and a response from the MCAT Resource Center,
send your concern by fax or regular mail to:
Attention: Test Center Concerns
Association of American Medical Colleges
2450 N Street, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20037-1127
Fax: 202-828-4799
When writing to us, please include the following information:
- Your full name,
- AAMC ID number or Social Security number (SSN/SIN),
- Mailing address,
- Telephone number,
- E-mail address,
- Date of test,
- Location of Test Center,
- Detailed description of problem.
- If you want a response by the time your scores are released, send
your concern, with the above information, so that the MCAT Resource
Center receives it no later than five days after your test date. Otherwise,
send your concern no later than 10 days after your exam.
We will notify you by regular mail of the result. Processing time may
take 4-6 weeks, depending upon when the MCAT Resource Center receives
your concern. If extensive technical research is required, we may need
extra time.
Concerns received over 10 days from the date of an exam cannot be investigated.
Please be aware that regardless of the type of complaint and our findings,
no scores will be altered or voided as a result of our research.
