    The AAMC Health Equity Virtual Site Visit (VSV) highlights outstanding health equity research portfolios at AAMC-member institutions.

    Each VSV presents videos, webinars, presentations, journal articles, and other resources from a single institution that reflect the cutting edge research, novel curricula, and innovative care delivery that can contribute to the evidence base for solutions to health and health care gaps.

The mission of DPH is to advance the health of populations by discovering new knowledge that informs policy and practice, educating tomorrow’s leaders, and serving local, national, and global communities.

    University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine

    The University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine is dedicated to improving health equity through education and research. Major programs address inequities in rural areas and among Native American populations where shortages in the healthcare workforce are a significant cause of disparities in care. Health equity education is embedded in the medical school curriculum, with hands-on experiences that inspire students to care for rural and Native American populations.

    University of California Davis School of Medicine

    University of California (UC) Davis School of Medicine, together with the UC Davis Health System, is known for cutting-edge research, innovative education, community engagement, and patient-centered care. The health system provides healthcare services to some of the most diverse, metropolitan and rural communities in Northern and Central California, and is committed to reducing and eliminating health inequities in the 33 counties it serves. UC Davis prepares physicians and other healthcare providers to improve lives and transform the health of the communities in which they will serve by incorporating culturally and linguistically appropriate care in all aspects of the clinical and academic environment.

    The University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS)
