These records are selected from the advisory boards and the “AAMC Collection” in the Mary H. Littlemeyer Archives, and were created and/or collected by the AAMC.

More About the Collection

The AAMC has five advisory boards that are each represented on its Board of Directors. The advisory boards series includes documents from each group, such as meeting minutes and agendas, various committee materials, reports, newsletters, and other publications.

This collection contains some of AAMC's earliest documentation and includes its historical constitution and bylaws, various historical documents, program announcements from member institutions, positions statements and organizational proceedings.

The advisory boards collections include meeting minutes and agendas, various committee materials, reports, newsletters, and other publications which were selected and digitized from the Council of Faculty and Academic Societies (CFAS, formerly Council of Academic Societies), Council of Deans (COD), Council of Teaching Hospitals (COTH), Organization of Resident Representatives (ORR) and Organization of Student Representatives (OSR) series.

The digitized records date ranges are as follows: CFAS: 1967-1989, COD: 1969-1997, COTH: 1967-1999, ORR: 1991-1999 and OSR: 1971-1996.

The digitized AAMC collection records date from 1836 through 1998.
