During the National Advisory Council for Human Genome Research’s (NACHGR) Feb. 12 meeting, National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) Director Eric Green, MD, PhD, announced that the institute has launched the next round of strategic planning to develop a “2020 Vision for Genomics.”
As part of the process, NHGRI will seek input from stakeholders and plans to hold workshops, town halls, and satellite meetings to collect information relevant to the strategic plan. Additionally, those interested in contributing to the conversation may also submit feedback through the NHGRI 2020 Strategic Planning Process website. NHGRI intends to publish the new strategic plan in October 2020, which marks 30 years after the launch of the Human Genome Project.
