From University of Utah Health and The Scope Presents, BUNDLE OF HERS is a podcast on diversity and amplifying underrepresented stories and voices in medicine. Produced by Chloé Nguyen and hosted by medical residents Harjit Kaur, Margaux Miller, Bushra Hussein, and Leen Samha, BUNDLE OF HERS is honest and thought-provoking conversations about the challenges women and minorities face in the field of medicine.

Kaur, Miller, Hussein, and Samha discuss how their diverse backgrounds influence their everyday lives in medical school and beyond. Talking about underrepresented topics, BUNDLE OF HERS keeps it real and raw while stumbling gracefully through residency. Collectively, BUNDLE OF HERS advocates for diverse experiences in medicine. Conversations center around equity and inclusion in medicine, women and minorities, challenges of studying medicine, voices of change, and leadership rooted in identity because, without a voice, identities are diminished.

What was the most impactful part of your award-winning entry?
As the four women move onto their respective residency programs at different hospitals across the country and the podcast enters its fourth season, BUNDLE OF HERS is a community of stories and perspectives shared through the means of audio narratives.

What is one thing you learned from this experience?
Our words have impact. It is important to speak up as an advocate for yourself and those who do not have the resources, platform, or privilege to make their voices heard. Creating a diverse, inclusive environment should be a priority.

    What challenge did you overcome?
The team was motivated to create a space celebrating different frames of reference rooted in identity. Extending beyond audio and onto social media, BUNDLE OF HERS aimed to encourage an environment where we learn together and from each other.
