2024 Highlights

Learn Serve Lead 2024: The AAMC Annual Meeting once again brought together a diverse group of leaders and professionals from across academic medicine to explore the most pressing issues in health and health care. Attendees, including deans, educators, researchers, and students, had the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions and network with peers.

This year’s plenary sessions featured distinguished speakers such as AAMC President and CEO David J. Skorton, MD, and AAMC Board Chair Lee Jones, MD. Highlights included powerful sessions by award-winning 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley, who discussed seeking solutions amid disorder, and an insightful session on generative artificial intelligence by James N. Weinstein, DO, MS, senior vice president of Microsoft Health. Kizzmekia S. Corbett-Helaire, PhD, and David Fajgenbaum, MD, MBA, MSc, delivered inspiring talks on the future of scientific discoveries and the pursuit of innovative medical solutions.
