This expedition, created in collaboration with NAF, highlights medical careers by sharing stories, tips, and activities to inspire high school students to consider becoming a physician or physician-scientist.

Medical career fairs offer workshops on medical school admissions and opportunities to meet admissions officers and current medical students. Check this page regularly to receive the latest updates on in-person and virtual events.

The SHPEP is a free summer program for students to explore their interests in medicine, dentistry, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, and public health.

The AAMC Fee Assistance Program helps those who, without financial aid, would be unable to take the MCAT® exam, apply to medical schools that use the AMCAS® application, and more.

The Young Doctors Project helps high school boys in southeast Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas by providing mentoring, education, and a pathway to health care careers.

Black Men in White Coats aims to increase the number of Black men in medicine through mentoring and increasing exposure to resources and services to prepare for a career in medicine.

Mentoring in Medicine equips students to become health care professionals through leadership development, civic engagement, and mentorship.

Black and Latino Men in Medicine supports and provides mentorship for Black and Latino men interested in medicine and science.

National Medical Fellowships programs provide financial support to diverse medical students. Their programs recognize merit as well as financial need.
