Publications
- Implementing Curricular and Institutional Climate Changes to Improve Health Care for Individuals Who Are LGBT, Gender Nonconforming, or Born with DSD: A Resource for Medical Educators. The AAMC Advisory Committee on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Sex Development authored this groundbreaking publication, which offers the first evidence- and best practices-based recommendations to train physicians to assess and interact more effectively with patients who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+), gender nonconforming (GNC), or born with differences of sex development (DSD). The report identifies 30 competencies that medical school students should master to care for LGBTQ+ and DSD patients responsibly.
