The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) published new resources for providers affected by the Change Healthcare cyberattack on March 25. In a letter to the provider community, the HHS reiterated the existing upfront payment mechanisms that it has provided through federal payers, such as Medicare accelerated and advance payments, as well as interim Medicaid fee-for-service payments [refer to Washington Highlights, March 15; March 22].  The new resource includes information for private health plans, including relevant contact information, links to resources payers have set up (including guides to connect to alternate data clearinghouse services), and information on advanced payments. The HHS continues to encourage providers to implement the voluntary Healthcare and Public Health Cybersecurity Performance Goals.
